(Newsyndicate): The investing giant Bank of America, located in Charlotte, NC, has halted all foreclosure procedures nationwide. It has thrown the economy into turmoil, which has been seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Bank of America is the United States' largest banking and finance firm, and plays a key role in ending the "great recession," which started in 2008. Other banks are now being pressured to follow suit.

Banning Soda from the Food Stamp program
(Newsyndicate): New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to stop New York City residents who get Food Stamp benefits (now called the SNAP, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) to stop putting soda and other sugary soft drinks on the city's pay tab.
Liu Xiaobo's Nobel Prize angers Chinese officials
(Newsyndicate): The Chinese have always dreamed of winning a Nobel prize. But now, its leaders are furious, because their dream came true yesterday. Liu Xiaobo is serving a 11 year prison sentence until 2020, and won the Nobel peace prize on October 8. The Chinese government, if that's what you could call it, is angry at the Norwegian-based Nobel committee for their choice, but Xiaobo, according to many, was the right choice, because of his long-standing campaign for democracy.
